Habitat
This species is commonly found on rocky substrates along the eastern Pacific coast.
Geographical Range
The Pacific blood star is distributed from the Aleutian Islands to Baja California along the eastern Pacific coast.
Diet
It feeds on a variety of sessile invertebrates such as bryozoans, tunicates, and sponges. Additionally, it consumes bacterial films and fine particulate matter.
