Physical Description
Kellet’s Whelk boasts a shell that can grow up to 170 mm, featuring wavy rounded axial ribs and fine spiral markings. The shell is typically white but often overgrown. The foot and head are yellow with white speckles and dark brown lines.
Habitat
Moderately common on rocks and burrowed in sand.
Geographical Range
Found from Monterey to Baja.
Diet
Kellet’s Whelk are predators and scavengers.
